My Story

Kate Pomper is an author and poet based in Asheville, North Carolina. Her work explores desire, power, and identity, often venturing into the darker, more complicated corners of selfhood and morality. Her influences include classical Greek literature and authors James Baldwin, George Orwell, and Friedrich Nietzsche. Kate recently published her debut chapbook, Bad Poetry, and is working on a full-length novel, Blended Roots. A member of Sigma Tau Delta, Kate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English. In her free time, she enjoys playing harp and exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains, where she lives with her husband and cats.

"Bad Poetry" by Kate Pomper is a stellar collection of modern poetry... I was glad to have found this book.
